Five-Hour Online Training on “Power of Audio in Education”
In the vast landscape of educational innovation, audio emerges not merely as a tool, but as a powerful enabler of connection, cognition, and creativity. It transcends the limitations of screen-bound learning and speaks directly to the human mind through rhythm, tone, and voice. The inaugural session of this training Power of Audio will unveil how the spoken word can awaken curiosity, deepen understanding, and build inclusive bridges across linguistic, social, and cognitive divides.
For decades, broadcast media have stood as silent sentinels of equitable learning, especially in remote and underserved geographies. Even in the absence of digital connectivity, radio waves have carried knowledge, inspiration, and hope to millions. The session on Broadcast: Bridging the Digital Divide will explore how traditional airwaves, when combined with modern pedagogical design, can dissolve digital inequalities and deliver educational content with clarity and continuity.
At the heart of community engagement lies the vibrant voice of community radio and iRadio platforms that listen as much as they speak. These hyper-local audio ecosystems empower learners to hear themselves in the curriculum, fostering a sense of belonging, agency, and identity. The third session delves into the transformative potential of these participatory formats, where every broadcast becomes a dialogue, and every story, a shared learning moment.
The horizon of audio technology is being redefined by Artificial Intelligence. With tools that translate, dub, and personalise content across languages and contexts, AI is ushering in a new era of accessible, inclusive, and scalable learning. The final session, Recent Trends: AI for Translation and Dubbing, provides a glimpse into this future, where machine intelligence enhances human expression to ensure no learner is left unheard or behind.
Aligned with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020, this five-day online training programme organised by
CIET-NCERT aims to build a comprehensive understanding of audio as a transformative educational resource. The
English version of the training will be conducted from 19 May to 23 May 2025, and the Hindi version from 26 May to
