Four-Days Youtube Live Series on

“Empowering Parents with AI”

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is quickly becoming a part of everyday life, changing how children learn, think, and solve problems. From personalized learning apps and chatbots that assist with homework to smart tools that support teachers, AI is reshaping education in powerful ways. For parents, understanding these changes is important—not only to stay informed about how children are learning, but also to help guide them in using technology wisely, safely, and effectively

AI brings exciting opportunities for students to explore new ideas, receive instant feedback, and learn in more creative, personalized ways. For parents, this means a chance to see their children more engaged and curious about learning. However, it also raises questions about screen time, privacy, and the quality of information children receive. By staying aware and involved, parents can help ensure that technology supports learning rather than distracts from it.

At the same time, AI introduces new challenges such as biased information, the misuse of personal data, or children becoming overly dependent on technology. Parents have a key role in teaching children balance—encouraging them to think critically, verify information, and understand that technology is a tool, not a replacement for human thinking or effort. Family discussions about online safety, ethics, and responsible use can help children make better digital choices.

To help parents better understand this new learning environment, a four-days YouTube Live Session Series on “Empowering Parents with AI” has been designed. These sessions will not only explain what AI is and how it’s used in schools but will also guide parents on how to support their children’s learning at home. Through simple, real-life examples—from AI in creative writing and school projects to its use in games, art, and everyday problem-solving—parents will gain insights into how AI can enhance education when used thoughtfully. The training will be conducted from 07 - 08 November & 14 - 15 November, with live sessions every day from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM . Parents can join the sessions live on NCERT’s Official YouTube Channel, as well as on PM eVidya DTH TV Channels (6–12) and the Jio TV mobile app.

The sessions will be broadcasted live on NCERT’s Official YouTube Channel and simulcast on PM eVidya DTH TV Channels (6–12) and the Jio TV mobile application. Participants will also be able to access recordings through a dedicated YouTube playlist, enabling them to revisit key discussions, consolidate learning, and translate knowledge into effective practice within their own professional contexts.

Objectives of Training:

After completion of the live sesssion series, the learner will be able to:

  1. Understand the basic concepts of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and explain how it functions in everyday situations relevant to their children’s lives and learning.
  2. Recognize the various ways AI is used in education, home, and creative contexts such as art, games, and problem-solving, to better support their child’s engagement and curiosity.
  3. Explore and evaluate selected AI tools that can enhance their child’s learning and creativity, while understanding the importance of balanced and responsible use.
  4. Identify and discuss ethical considerations related to AI, including issues of data privacy, bias, and responsible digital behaviour, to guide their children toward safe and ethical technology use.
  5. Reflect on the future impact of AI on education, skills development, and career pathways, helping their children connect school learning with opportunities for responsible innovation.
