Five days YouTube Live Session Series
'Empowering Teachers with AI - Phase II'
Artificial Intelligence has become a defining force in modern education, shaping how learners access knowledge, how teachers design instruction, and how institutions manage learning environments. From personalized learning platforms to automated assessment and institutional decision-making systems, the educational process is increasingly influenced by AI-driven tools. Yet this reliance also introduces challenges of bias, opacity, and ethical misuse. Within this context, the integration of AI emerges not merely as a technological shift but as a pedagogical and institutional responsibility, ensuring fairness, transparency, and trust in digital learning.
The growing use of AI also brings risks that extend beyond technical errors. Algorithmic bias, over-automation, and misuse of student data can jeopardize equity, academic integrity, and the autonomy of learners. Such concerns highlight the urgency of embedding safeguards into every stage of AI adoption. Measures such as regular auditing of algorithms, maintaining human oversight, and promoting explainable AI must therefore become standard practice. Equally critical is fostering digital and AI literacy among students and educators, who remain the key actors in ensuring AI supports rather than undermines educational goals. By equipping them with awareness and critical perspectives, institutions can reduce risks while empowering learners to engage with AI responsibly.
While individual understanding is the first layer of protection, responsible AI use must ultimately be woven into the institutional fabric of schools and education systems. Clear ethical guidelines, transparent governance structures, and shared accountability are not optional extras but structural necessities. The responsibility of institutions is not only to implement AI responsibly but also to nurture a culture where innovation and ethics are inseparable. In this way, education systems can move from cautious adoption to proactive strategies that harness AI for inclusion, resilience, and academic credibility.
This Youtube live session series on “Empowering Teachers with AI - Phase II” is planned especially for teachers, school leaders, and administrators. The sessions will focus on making AI easy to understand and showing how it can actually help in classrooms and school work. Along with simple explanations, there will be practical ideas teachers can try out right away whether it’s using AI tools for lesson planning, encouraging students to think critically about technology, or learning how to guide them on safe and responsible use. The goal is to help schools get comfortable with AI so that both teachers and students feel ready to make the most of it in today’s learning environment.
Aligned with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework (NCF), this five-day YouTube live sessions organised by CIET-NCERT aims to give teachers, school leaders, and administrators a clear understanding of Artificial Intelligence and its role in education. The teaining will be conducted from 17 November - 21 November 2025, with live sessions scheduled daily from 12:30 PM to 01:15 PM. The programme will not only explain the basics of AI but also show real-life examples and classroom contexts to illustrate AI applications to use it in lesson planning, assessments, and student projects. Youtube sessions will also highlight how to guide learners in using AI responsibly, ethically, and creatively. By connecting concepts with classroom-ready strategies, this initiative supports schools in preparing both teachers and students to thrive in an AI-driven world.
The sessions will be broadcasted live on NCERT’s Official YouTube Channel and simulcast on PM eVidya DTH TV Channels (6–12) and the Jio TV mobile application. Participants will also be able to access recordings through a dedicated YouTube playlist, enabling them to revisit key discussions, consolidate learning, and translate knowledge into effective practice within their own professional contexts.
