“Digital Initiatives for Transforming Education”
The integration of digital pedagogy into contemporary education is revolutionising instructional methodologies and learning paradigms. The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 highlights the transformative role of technology in fostering dynamic, learner-centric environments that enhance accessibility, engagement, and academic excellence. In alignment with this vision, CIET-NCERT is leading initiatives to equip learners, educators, administrators, and all stakeholders with innovative digital strategies that enrich the teaching-learning process.
Advancements in instructional technology, including AI-powered learning platforms, virtual classrooms, and interactive multimedia content, are reshaping conventional pedagogical approaches. These digital tools enable educators to design adaptive and differentiated instruction, promote cognitive development, and cultivate analytical reasoning among learners. The transition towards blended learning ecosystems and personalised digital experiences ensures that students receive meaningful, context-driven education tailored to diverse learning needs.
Several nationwide digital education programmes have been developed to strengthen instructional effectiveness and bridge learning disparities. Initiatives such as APAAR ID, eJadui Pitara, Virtual Labs, PRASHAST, and AI-enabled DIKSHA provide structured pedagogical resources that facilitate competency-based learning, digital assessment models, and data-driven instructional planning. These initiatives empower educators to integrate contemporary digital methodologies, fostering inclusive, skill-oriented, and immersive learning environments.
To enhance digital fluency and pedagogical expertise among all stakeholders in education, CIET-NCERT is organising a five-day online training titled “Digital Initiatives for Transforming Education.” The English version will be conducted from 17ᵗʰ to 21ˢᵗ March 2025, followed by the Hindi version from 24ᵗʰ to 28ᵗʰ March 2025. This training will provide practical insights into leveraging digital platforms to facilitate active, experiential, and inquiry-based learning approaches aligned with emerging educational frameworks.
This training will offer a deep dive into APAAR ID, eJadui Pitara, Virtual Labs, PRASHAST, and AI-enabled DIKSHA. Educators will explore strategies for implementing technology-driven pedagogies, scaffolding digital learning, and fostering constructivist instructional models that optimise student engagement and achievement.
The sessions will be broadcast live on NCERT’s YouTube Channel and simulcast on PM eVidya DTH TV Channels (6 to 12) and the Jio TV mobile app. Participants will also have access to recorded sessions through a dedicated YouTube playlist, enabling them to revisit key pedagogical insights and instructional strategies at their convenience.
