Elevating Teaching - Learning Dynamics on DIKSHA
The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 emphasizes the critical role of teachers in shaping the future of education by recognizing the need for continuous professional development. The NEP proposes mandatory 50 hours of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) every year for every teacher and school head. Moreover, the NEP advocates for a holistic approach to teacher training that goes beyond traditional methods. It encourages the incorporation of online blended learning modes to make professional development more accessible and flexible. The policy also stresses the importance of collaboration among teachers, encouraging peer learning and the sharing of best practices. Budget announcement emphasizes on preparing every teacher as a digital teacher. This establishes the need for continuous professional development for teachers and school heads in use and integration of digital technology.
The digital world is rife with risks, In this context, CIET-NCERT organizes a 5 hours training series on Educational Technology in the second (English version) and third week (Hindi Version) of every month. For the month of June, 2024 it is proposed to conduct a 5 hours online training on “Elevating Teaching - Learning Dynamics on DIKSHA'' from 17-21 June, 2024 in English version and 24-28 June, 2024 in Hindi version from 4.00 pm - 5.00 pm.

DIKSHA platform stands at the forefront of this revolution, offering a robust ecosystem for teacher development and student engagement. In our ongoing commitment to support educators, we are excited to introduce a series of training sessions tailored specifically to explore the latest enhancements on DIKSHA. These sessions will delve into the diversified ‘Focus Areas’ of target group-specific econtent, focusing on key subject areas to deepen pedagogical impact.
Moreover, participants will gain invaluable insights into the integration of cutting-edge tools such as the Collab Geo Tool and Google Classroom, enhancing their ability to create dynamic and interactive learning experiences. Additionally, we are proud to introduce a new ticketing tool, empowering educators & students to swiftly address any concerns or queries they encounter while navigating & teaching/learning on the DIKSHA platform. Join us as we embark on this journey of discovery and empowerment, equipping teachers with the tools and knowledge they need to thrive in today's educational landscape.
The online training will be live on NCERT official YouTube Channel- https://www.youtube.com/c/NCERTOFFICIAL and also be simulcast through PMeVidya DTH TV Channels numbered #6-12 and Jio TV mobile app.
Objectives of Training:
1. To familiarize educators in navigating DIKSHA's homepage interface for efficient access to resources, optimizing platform utilization.
2.To clarify the concept of "Focus Areas" within DIKSHA, aiding educators in understanding and utilizing targeted content effectively.
3.To train teachers in leveraging DIKSHA within Google Classroom, enhancing educational delivery and student engagement.
4. To train educators how to use the OS ticketing tool within DIKSHA and efficiently address concerns in order to ensure a smooth user experience.
5. To demonstrate effective use of the CollabGeo tool within DIKSHA for teaching geometry and enhancing student understanding.

Step: 3 Take up the online course, participate in post assessment and get certified :
If you are interested to earn a certificate, you need to do the following:
- Join the online course that will be launched on DIKSHA portal.

This course will be open till 30 March, 2025. - Join the course, go through all the five videos.
- Take up the final assessment in the course. You can attempt the assessment thrice.
- If you score 70% and above in the final assessment, you will get a certificate. You can access their certificate in your DIKSHA profile page itself. It may take 15-20 days to receive the certificate.
- If there is any problem in portal, raise your complaint in teacher help in the DIKSHA portal
