Online Training on Let's be a Cyber Warrior
Organised by CIET-NCERT in collaboration with CyberPeace Foundation
National Education Policy (2020) envisions the use of technology in education. It also emphasizes the safety and security of children, including cyber safety and security to provide a pleasant and productive learning space. NEP 2020 emphasizes that ‘Children and adolescents enrolled in schools must not be forgotten in this whole process; after all, the school system is designed for them. Careful attention must be paid to their safety and rights’ (Para 8.11).
With the recent shift towards e-learning, there is an exposed risk of cyberattacks; cybercriminals are finding opportunities to defraud schools, steal sensitive information or deploy ransomware schemes. It i9s necessary for every individual to take the responsibility in safeguarding oneself in the cyber world. Hence every individual needs to be competent to be a cyber warrior who fights against these issues and safeguard oneself in the cyber world.
In this regard, CIET-NCERT in collaboration with CyberPeace Foundation is organising a four-day online training on “Let's be a Cyber Warrior” from 25-28 October, 2022 from 4.00 pm - 5.00 pm to enhance the understanding of teachers, students, teacher educators, and various stakeholders on being a cyber warrior and ensure Cyber Safety and Security. The online training will be live on NCERT official YouTube Channel- https://www.youtube.com/c/NCERTOFFICIAL and also be simulcast through PMeVidya DTH TV Channels numbered #6-12 and Jio TV mobile app.
Objectives
To orient teachers, teacher-educators,students and various stakeholders regarding the following;
- Changing trends in the use of the internet and the new types of cyber crimes.
- Various cybercrimes
- Knowledge on redressal mechanisms post cybercrimes.
- Psychological effect of cyberspace
- Ways to be a Cyber Warrior by Self.
