Five-Hour Online Training on
“Online and Digital Education in the Lens of NEP 2020”
The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 highlights the critical role of Online and Digital Education in transforming the teaching-learning process and ensuring equitable access to quality education. Emphasising the integration of technology across all levels of education, the policy advocates for strengthening digital infrastructure, developing high-quality multilingual digital content, and building the digital capacities of teachers and learners. Online and Digital Education enables flexible, inclusive, and learner-centric learning opportunities by leveraging digital platforms, virtual classrooms, and interactive e-content.
In the contemporary educational landscape, online and digital modes of learning have become essential for continuity, innovation, and scalability in education. Digital resources such as learning management systems, virtual labs, video lessons, simulations, and online assessments enrich the learning experience and support diverse learning needs. These tools not only enhance learner engagement and conceptual understanding but also empower teachers to design effective instructional strategies, monitor learner progress, and provide timely feedback.
