Online Training on “Virtual Labs for Self paced & Classroom Teaching-Learning”
NEP 2020 has recommended creation of virtual laboratories so that all students have equal access to quality practical and hands-on experiment based learning experiences. Though there is no substitute to hands-on experience of a physical laboratory, virtual labs have the great potential to enhance actual laboratory experience. These lab based e-resources can help students in visualizing the concepts in a better manner.
Idea behind setting up of Virtual labs
The virtual labs are based on the idea that lab experiments can be taught using internet more efficiently in a cost-effective manner. They will also benefit the students who do not have access to physical labs or schools where equipments are not available. Experiments can be accessed anytime and anywhere. Virtual labs overcome the constraints of time as physical labs are available only during school hours.
In this context, CIET-NCERT is organizing a five hours online training on “Virtual Labs for Self paced & Classroom Teaching-Learning” from 13-17 February, 2023 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm to leverage the understanding of teachers, students, teacher educators, administrators and various stakeholders on utilization of DIKSHA Virtual Labs in order to enrich the classroom experiences.

Step 2: Watch live Panel Discussion: Watch live training sessions: Participants have to attend training sessions, which will be live-streamed on NCERT official YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/c/NCERTOFFICIAL and NCERT Events YouTube channel (https://youtube.com/@ncertevents.157) from 13-17 February, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.
