Online Training on
“Cybersecurity Concerns in Emerging Technologies”
In addition to emphasizing the integration of cyber safety education, the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 acknowledges the dynamic nature of the digital landscape and the evolving role of technology in education. It underscores the importance of not only imparting digital literacy skills but also fostering a mindset of adaptability and critical thinking in students. As the NEP aligns education with the demands of the digital age, it recognizes the necessity of preparing students to navigate the complexities of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, and the Internet of Things. By incorporating cybersecurity awareness into academic curricula, the NEP aims to empower the younger generation with the resilience and knowledge needed to thrive in an increasingly interconnected and technology-driven world.
The collaboration between CIET-NCERT and the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), Ministry of Home Affairs, represents a pivotal initiative in the ongoing series on Cyber Safety and Security. The training on "Cybersecurity Concerns in Emerging Technologies" aims to provide an overview and countermeasures for the evolving threat landscape, with a specific focus on ransomware. As society embraces innovations, it is crucial to understand and mitigate the risks associated with artificial intelligence attacks, emphasizing the need for proactive measures in securing online banking and addressing emerging cybersecurity concerns. Another essential aspect covered is the demystification of Cyber Threat Intelligence, empowering participants with knowledge to stay ahead of potential threats. This comprehensive approach ensures that parents, educators, administrators, and policymakers are well-equipped to navigate the intricate landscape of securing networks, data, and devices amidst rapidly advancing digital technologies. The training will serve as a proactive measure for individuals and contributes to the overarching goal of building a digitally resilient society.
For the month of February, 2024 it is proposed to conduct a 5 hours online training on “Cybersecurity Concerns in Emerging Technologies” in collaboration with Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), MHA from 5 - 9 February, 2024 from 4.00 pm - 5.00 to enhance the understanding of teachers, students, teacher educators, and various stakeholders on social media and its various aspects related to cybersecurity.
