Online Training on
“Cyber Threats”
NEP 2020's emphasis on integrating cyber safety education into educational curricula is a visionary approach that recognizes the critical role of digital literacy in today's interconnected world. As technology continues to advance at an exponential pace, our reliance on digital platforms for communication, commerce, and information access has grown exponentially. While these advancements have brought about numerous benefits and opportunities, they have also exposed us to a myriad of cyber threats that can compromise our personal and collective security.
The digital world is rife with risks, from phishing to state-sponsored cyber warfare, affecting individuals and nations alike with financial losses and data breaches. The interconnected nature of our online activities and the widespread use of mobile and Internet of Things (IoT) devices amplify these vulnerabilities, making cybersecurity awareness crucial. Additionally, the rapid pace of technological advancement introduces new challenges, such as the emergence of artificial intelligence-driven cyber-attacks and the increasing sophistication of ransomware campaigns. Moreover, the shift towards remote work and digital transformation initiatives has expanded the attack surface, creating new avenues for cybercriminals to exploit.
In this context, CIET-NCERT organized a training series on ‘ Cyber Safety and Security’ in the first week of every month to create awareness on Cyber Safety and Security among various stakeholders. For the month of June, 2024 it is proposed to conduct a 5 hours online training on “Cyber Threats” from 3rd June - 7th June, 2024 at 4.00 pm - 5.00 pm by CIET-NCERT to enhance the understanding of teachers, students, teacher educators, and various stakeholders on Cyber Threats and its various aspects related to cybersecurity. The online training will be live on NCERT official YouTube Channel- https://www.youtube.com/c/NCERTOFFICIAL and also be simulcast through PMeVidya DTH TV Channels numbered #6-12 and Jio TV mobile app.
