NEP 2020 prioritizes the integration of cyber safety education into educational programs, aiming to enhance awareness and provide students with the necessary digital literacy skills for secure internet navigation. In this age of unprecedented digital evolution, nurturing awareness regarding Cyber Parenting is imperative for our technology-driven society. Cyber Parenting promotes a sustainable and harmonious coexistence between humanity and technology, ensuring a brighter and more balanced future.

Cyber parenting training is of paramount importance in our digital age, serving as a vital tool to safeguard children's well-being in the online realm. It empowers parents with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the complexities of the digital world, ensuring the safety of their children from various online threats such as cyberbullying, predators, and inappropriate content. By fostering open communication, setting boundaries, and promoting responsible online behavior, cyber parenting training helps create a secure and positive online environment for children. Moreover, it enables parents to adapt to the rapidly evolving digital landscape, staying ahead of emerging challenges and technologies. In essence, cyber parenting training is a proactive approach that equips parents to guide their children through the digital domain, fostering a healthy and balanced relationship with technology.

In this context, CIET-NCERT organized a training series on ‘ Cyber Safety and Security’ in the first week of every month to create awareness on cyber safety and security among various stakeholders. For the month of December, 2023 it is proposed to conduct a 5 hours online training on “Cyber Parenting” from 4-8 December, 2023 at 4.00 pm - 5.00 pm by CIET-NCERT to enhance the understanding of teachers, students, teacher educators, and various stakeholders on Cyber Parenting and its various aspects related to cybersecurity. After completion of the training series, the learner will be able to:
