Five-Hour Online Training on
“Development of Video Resources”
National Education Policy 2020 stated in clause 23.6, “Teaching-learning e-content will continue to be developed by all States in all regional languages, as well as by the NCERT, CIET, CBSE, NIOS, and other bodies/institutions, and will be uploaded onto the DIKSHA platform. This platform may also be utilized for Teacher’s Professional Development through e-content. CIET will be strengthened to promote and expand DIKSHA as well as other education technology initiatives. Suitable equipment will be made available to teachers at schools so that teachers can suitably integrate e-contents into teaching-learning practices. Technology-based education platforms, such as DIKSHA/SWAYAM, will be better integrated across school and higher education, and will include ratings/reviews by users, so as to enable content developers to create user friendly and qualitative content.”
Moreover, eContent contributes to the overall convenience and efficiency of the teaching process. With digital resources readily available, educators can easily update and modify content to reflect the latest advancements and discoveries in their respective fields. eContent also allows for effortless distribution and sharing of educational materials, saving time and resources compared to traditional print-based materials. Furthermore, eContent enables educators to track and monitor learner progress, providing valuable insights into areas of strength and areas that may require additional support. The development of eContent empowers learners to take an active role in their learning process, facilitates a deep understanding of complex concepts, and includes varied learning styles.
In today's digital age, video resources as a part of eContent have gained immense demand as a means of content dissemination. The development of video technology has undergone a remarkable evolution over the years, leading to the creation of various formats, devices, and applications that have transformed the way we capture, share, and consume video content. The development of video technology has been a continuous journey, marked by innovations in capturing, encoding, transmitting, and displaying moving images. These advancements have transformed the way we communicate, entertain, learn, and experience the world around us. The development of video resources supports learners from early childhood education to the adult learning environment, to retain the concepts and more information as well as make it easier for them to focus their attention. The teaching learning process has evolved with the growing use of audio-visual technology. Implementing these innovations in the classroom environment helps in improving achieving the learning level outcome.
